Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ScrollEclipse Android application and related services provided by Veluno Labs ("Veluno Labs", "we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using ScrollEclipse, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use ScrollEclipse.

1. What ScrollEclipse Does

ScrollEclipse is a digital-wellbeing and focus application that helps users reduce access to distracting endless-feed areas in supported social-media apps while preserving access to useful areas where technically possible.

Depending on the current release, supported protections may include:

  • Instagram DM Only;
  • Instagram Reels;
  • Instagram Home Feed;
  • TikTok Feed;
  • YouTube Shorts; and
  • Snapchat Spotlight.

ScrollEclipse may also include:

  • Focus Lock;
  • Schedules;
  • local Insights;
  • temporary Premium access earned through rewarded ads; and
  • paid ScrollEclipse Premium subscriptions.

Features may change over time as third-party apps, Android, or ScrollEclipse are updated.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.

ScrollEclipse is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires parental permission or a higher age for certain services, you may use ScrollEclipse only where the legally required permission is available.

3. Accessibility Service

ScrollEclipse uses Android's AccessibilityService API to provide its core protection functionality.

ScrollEclipse is not an accessibility tool intended primarily for users with disabilities.

The Accessibility Service allows ScrollEclipse to evaluate structural information in supported apps so that it can detect and restrict selected feed surfaces.

You must explicitly enable the Accessibility Service through Android settings after receiving the in-app disclosure.

You may disable the service at any time, but doing so may prevent ScrollEclipse protections from working.

ScrollEclipse does not guarantee that a protection will work perfectly at all times. Supported third-party apps may change their interfaces, resource identifiers, navigation, or behavior without notice.

4. Free Version

ScrollEclipse may provide a Free version with limited access, advertising, or temporary Premium opportunities.

Free-version availability and limits may change as the product evolves, subject to applicable law and required notice.

A paid subscription is not necessarily required to install or access all basic parts of the app.

5. Rewarded Ads and 4-Hour Temporary Premium

Eligible Free users may voluntarily choose to watch a rewarded advertisement.

Before a rewarded ad is shown, ScrollEclipse will identify that watching the ad can provide temporary Premium access.

Reward

When Google's rewarded-ad system confirms that the reward has been earned, ScrollEclipse grants:

4 hours of temporary ScrollEclipse Premium.

A rewarded ad does not grant Premium merely because it loaded, opened, showed an impression, or was dismissed.

If the ad fails, is unavailable, is closed before the reward is earned, or Google does not issue the earned-reward callback, no temporary Premium is granted.

Rolling limit

ScrollEclipse may allow a maximum of:

4 successfully earned temporary-Premium grants in a rolling 24-hour period.

This is a rolling period, not a midnight/calendar-day reset.

Failed or unearned rewarded ads do not count as successful grants.

No stacking

A new rewarded temporary-Premium period cannot normally be stacked on top of an already-active rewarded temporary-Premium period.

A new opportunity may become available after the active temporary-Premium period ends, subject to the rolling limit and ad availability.

Temporary Premium features

While temporary Premium is active, the app may provide the same feature access as Premium, including eligible protections, protection changes, Focus Lock, Schedules, and Full Insights.

Temporary Premium:

  • is promotional access;
  • has no monetary or cash value;
  • cannot be transferred;
  • is not a paid subscription; and
  • does not guarantee that a rewarded ad will always be available.

Veluno Labs may modify or discontinue rewarded-Premium promotions in future versions, subject to applicable law.

6. ScrollEclipse Premium Subscriptions

ScrollEclipse offers optional auto-renewing Premium subscriptions through Google Play.

Standard pricing in euro markets is:

  • Monthly Premium: €4.99 per month
  • Yearly Premium: €39.99 per year

The final and legally binding price for your purchase is the price displayed by Google Play immediately before you confirm the purchase.

Prices may vary by country, currency, tax rules, exchange-rate effects, Google Play pricing configuration, promotions, or applicable law.

Premium benefits

Premium may include benefits such as:

  • continuous Premium access;
  • no ScrollEclipse rewarded-ad requirement for Premium access;
  • no ScrollEclipse ads intended for Free users;
  • unlimited eligible protection changes;
  • Focus Lock;
  • Schedules;
  • Full Insights; and
  • other Premium features identified in the app.

The exact Premium features shown at the time of purchase form part of the subscription offer.

7. Billing and Automatic Renewal

Premium subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing.

If you purchase an auto-renewing subscription:

  • Google Play charges the payment method associated with your Google account;
  • the subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled;
  • the billing frequency is shown before purchase;
  • applicable taxes and localized pricing are shown or handled through Google Play; and
  • renewal and billing are subject to Google Play's applicable terms.

You are responsible for reviewing the price, billing period, and renewal terms shown by Google Play before confirming a purchase.

8. Cancellation

You can manage or cancel a Premium subscription through Google Play subscription settings.

Cancellation normally stops future renewal. Unless Google Play or applicable law provides otherwise, you may continue to have access through the end of the already-paid billing period.

Deleting ScrollEclipse from your device does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription.

9. Refunds

Refunds and billing disputes are handled in accordance with:

  • Google Play's applicable refund rules;
  • the terms of the purchase shown through Google Play; and
  • mandatory consumer law that applies to you.

Nothing in these Terms limits a refund, withdrawal, cancellation, warranty, or other consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Restore Purchases

Where supported, ScrollEclipse may provide a Restore Purchases function or may automatically re-check Google Play entitlement state.

Restore functionality does not create a new purchase. It attempts to restore an entitlement that Google Play identifies as valid for the relevant Google account.

11. Advertising

Free users may be shown advertising, including rewarded ads and other eligible ad formats.

Advertising may be provided by Google AdMob.

Premium users and users with an active rewarded temporary-Premium entitlement are intended not to receive ScrollEclipse ad requests that are excluded from Premium under the current product design.

Ad availability is not guaranteed.

You must not intentionally manipulate, automate, repeatedly trigger, or otherwise abuse advertising interactions.

12. Focus Lock

Focus Lock is a commitment feature.

When you start Focus Lock:

  • selected protections may become committed until a stated end time;
  • committed protections cannot be turned off early through the normal ScrollEclipse interface;
  • the app displays the lock duration/end time before confirmation; and
  • you are responsible for reviewing the lock before starting it.

Adding protections during an active Focus Lock

ScrollEclipse may allow you to add additional protections while an existing Focus Lock is active.

Before adding a protection, ScrollEclipse may warn that once added it cannot be removed until the existing Focus Lock ends.

Adding a protection does not restart or extend the existing Focus Lock unless the app expressly says otherwise.

Temporary Premium expiry during Focus Lock

If a Focus Lock was legitimately started while temporary Premium was active, the existing Focus Lock commitment may continue until its originally scheduled end even if the temporary Premium entitlement ends first.

This behavior is intentional so that an active commitment is not weakened by entitlement expiry.

Focus Lock is not a parental-control, emergency, safety-critical, medical, legal-compliance, or enterprise-management system and should not be relied on for those purposes.

13. Schedules

Schedules allow selected protections to become effective during recurring time windows.

Schedules may:

  • use the device's local time and timezone;
  • support overnight windows;
  • remain saved when not currently enforceable; and
  • require Accessibility Service to be enabled for supported blocking behavior.

Schedule configuration does not guarantee that a third-party app will remain technically detectable forever.

Do not rely on Schedules for safety-critical or legally required restrictions.

14. Insights

Insights provide local summaries of ScrollEclipse activity, including genuine blocking interventions and Focus Lock-related information.

Insights are informational and may not capture every possible interaction.

Insights are not a scientifically validated measurement of productivity, health, addiction, wellbeing, or "time saved."

You are responsible for how you interpret and use Insights information.

15. Third-Party App Compatibility

ScrollEclipse interacts with supported third-party apps such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Snapchat.

Those services are operated independently and may change without notice.

A third-party update may temporarily or permanently affect ScrollEclipse's ability to identify or block a particular feed or screen.

Veluno Labs may update ScrollEclipse to maintain compatibility but does not guarantee uninterrupted compatibility with any third-party app.

ScrollEclipse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta, Instagram, TikTok, ByteDance, Google/YouTube, Snap, or Snapchat unless expressly stated otherwise.

All third-party names, trademarks, and logos belong to their respective owners.

16. Your Responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • use ScrollEclipse unlawfully;
  • interfere with the app's operation or security;
  • reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • abuse advertising, rewarded-ad, purchase, subscription, or entitlement systems;
  • use automated tools to generate fraudulent ad interactions;
  • attempt to obtain Premium access through unauthorized means;
  • distribute modified or unauthorized versions of ScrollEclipse;
  • use ScrollEclipse to violate another person's rights; or
  • use ScrollEclipse in a way that violates Google Play, Android, or applicable third-party platform rules.

17. No Social-Media Credentials Required

ScrollEclipse is designed not to require your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, or other social-media password in order to provide its core blocking functionality.

Never send your social-media password to Veluno Labs support.

18. Intellectual Property

ScrollEclipse, the ScrollEclipse name, original user-interface design, source code, original graphics, branding, documentation, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Veluno Labs and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use ScrollEclipse for its intended purpose.

No ownership rights are transferred to you.

Third-party names, logos, libraries, and services remain the property of their respective owners.

19. Privacy

Your use of ScrollEclipse is also governed by the ScrollEclipse Privacy Policy:

The Privacy Policy explains how ScrollEclipse processes local app information, Accessibility Service structural signals, advertising-related information, purchases, support information, and other applicable data.

20. Updates and Changes to the App

We may release updates to:

  • add or remove features;
  • improve compatibility;
  • fix bugs;
  • improve security;
  • change Free/Premium functionality;
  • change advertising behavior;
  • update supported third-party apps; or
  • comply with platform or legal requirements.

Some updates may be required for ScrollEclipse to continue functioning correctly.

We are not required to maintain every feature forever, subject to applicable consumer law and obligations relating to paid subscriptions.

21. Availability

We aim to keep ScrollEclipse functional, but the app may be unavailable or degraded due to:

  • Android or device changes;
  • third-party app updates;
  • Google Play outages;
  • Google AdMob outages;
  • network failures;
  • maintenance;
  • device manufacturer behavior;
  • Accessibility Service changes; or
  • circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

22. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScrollEclipse is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • every distracting feed will always be detected;
  • every supported third-party app version will work;
  • blocking will always occur before any third-party content appears;
  • the service will be uninterrupted or error-free;
  • Insights will be complete or exact; or
  • use of ScrollEclipse will achieve a specific productivity, wellbeing, or behavioral result.

Nothing in this section limits mandatory warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

23. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Veluno Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use ScrollEclipse.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our liability is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including mandatory consumer protections.

24. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses or claims resulting from your unlawful misuse of ScrollEclipse or material violation of these Terms.

This section does not apply where prohibited by consumer law.

25. Suspension or Termination

We may restrict access to certain online, Premium, advertising, or purchase-related functionality if reasonably necessary to:

  • address fraud or abuse;
  • comply with law;
  • comply with platform requirements;
  • protect ScrollEclipse or users; or
  • enforce these Terms.

Local app functionality may also stop working if required Android permissions or services are disabled.

26. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect:

  • product changes;
  • new features;
  • subscription changes;
  • legal requirements;
  • platform requirements; or
  • security and operational needs.

If a change materially affects an existing paid subscription, we will provide any notice required by applicable law or Google Play.

27. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without excluding mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be waived.

Any dispute-resolution or court rights available to you under mandatory local consumer law remain unaffected.

28. Severability

If a provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent legally permitted.

29. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the purchase terms shown through Google Play, form the agreement governing your use of ScrollEclipse, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
