Privacy Policy

Effective date: 6 September 2026  ·  Last updated: 2 October 2026

ScrollEclipse is a digital-wellbeing application operated by Veluno Labs ("Veluno Labs", "we", "us", or "our"), based in Italy.

This Privacy Policy explains how ScrollEclipse accesses, processes, stores, and shares information when you use the ScrollEclipse Android application and related services.

Contact: support@scrolleclipse.com
Website: https://scrolleclipse.com
Privacy Policy URL: https://scrolleclipse.com/privacy/

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the ScrollEclipse Android application and the ScrollEclipse services operated by Veluno Labs.

ScrollEclipse is designed to help users reduce access to distracting social-media feeds while keeping useful parts of supported apps available. Depending on the protection selected, ScrollEclipse can help block or restrict areas such as Instagram Reels and Home Feed, TikTok Feed, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat Spotlight, Facebook Reels, and certain Instagram navigation areas.

2. Accessibility Service

Accessibility Service use

ScrollEclipse uses Android's Accessibility Service to detect when supported social-media feeds and screens are open. Currently supported surfaces include Instagram Reels, Instagram Home Feed, TikTok Feed, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat Spotlight, and Facebook Reels, along with certain Instagram navigation areas and DM-only behavior where applicable.

To identify supported screens, ScrollEclipse may inspect on-device accessibility-tree and interface information, such as:

  • view hierarchy;
  • resource IDs where available;
  • class names;
  • bounds;
  • selected, clickable, or visible state;
  • short interface and navigation labels; and
  • content descriptions.

This processing stays on the device and is used for blocker detection only. ScrollEclipse does not intentionally collect, store, or transmit private messages, captions, usernames, comments, search queries, typed text, passwords, or photos/videos/media content through the Accessibility Service.

Short interface and navigation labels used for structural detection are distinct from user-generated or private content. They are processed transiently on the device and are not stored or transmitted to us.

When a blocked feed is detected, ScrollEclipse may display a blocking overlay, perform a Back action, or select a safe destination within the supported app.

Accessibility access is used solely to provide ScrollEclipse's feed-blocking functionality and is not used to provide an assistive accessibility service.

Before the Accessibility Service is enabled, ScrollEclipse provides an in-app disclosure explaining why the service is required. Enabling the service also requires the user to grant permission through Android system settings.

ScrollEclipse does not use OCR, screenshot capture, MediaProjection, screen recording, microphone recording, or audio recording to detect supported feeds.

Debug diagnostics, where present in development builds, are limited to structural information required for development and are disabled or no-op in production release behavior where designed.

You can disable ScrollEclipse's Accessibility Service at any time through Android settings. If it is disabled, protections that depend on Accessibility Service will not be enforced.

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

ScrollEclipse is designed to be primarily local-first.

The app may store the following information on your device:

  • protection selections and app settings;
  • onboarding-completion state;
  • theme and language preferences;
  • schedule definitions and enabled/disabled state;
  • Focus Lock start time, end time, and committed protection state;
  • temporary Premium entitlement state and expiration time;
  • successful rewarded-Premium grant timestamps used to enforce the rolling usage limit;
  • subscription/Premium entitlement state received from Google Play, where applicable;
  • Insights events and summaries; and
  • other configuration required for the app to function.

Insights data

ScrollEclipse Insights may store local events such as:

  • event timestamp;
  • supported platform;
  • protection involved;
  • the type/source of the block event; and
  • whether Focus Lock was active when the event occurred.

Insights are intended to count real ScrollEclipse interventions. ScrollEclipse does not intentionally store the message, caption, username, video, comment, or other social-media content associated with an intervention.

ScrollEclipse does not represent Insights as an exact measurement of "time saved."

4. Referral Program, Promotional Codes, Historical Waitlist and Premium Recovery

Referral Program

ScrollEclipse offers an Invite Friends / referral system. Each user may obtain a unique 6-character referral code and share it with others. When a friend enters a valid referral code, both the referrer and the referred friend may receive a period of Premium access. The specific duration of referral rewards is configurable and may change at any time.

The referral backend is hosted on Supabase. Referral redemption is device-bound. The app uses a privacy-preserving hashed Android-scoped device identifier for referral validation, entitlement recovery, and abuse prevention. The raw Android device identifier is not intentionally stored on ScrollEclipse servers.

Referral backend records may include:

  • referral code;
  • hashed device identifier;
  • referral redemption status;
  • Premium entitlement and expiry;
  • redemption attempts; and
  • fraud/abuse-prevention and rate-limit information.

Referral Premium may be recovered on the same supported device after reinstall or local-data clearing, provided the Android-scoped identity remains compatible.

Promotional Codes

The Android app may support promotional-code redemption. The app creates a privacy-preserving hash derived from an Android-scoped device identifier for promotional Premium redemption and recovery. The raw Android device identifier is not intentionally stored on ScrollEclipse servers.

The hashed device identifier is transmitted to backend infrastructure hosted by Supabase. It is used only to validate promo codes, prevent duplicate or abusive redemption, associate an entitlement with the original device, and recover an active promo entitlement after local app data is cleared or the app is reinstalled on the same device.

Promo backend records may include promo-code hash, redemption status, redemption timestamp, Premium expiration timestamp, hashed device identifier, redemption-attempt information, and rate-limit/abuse-prevention data. Raw promotional codes are not intentionally stored in the promo-code database.

Referral Premium and promotional Premium are separate entitlement sources.

Historical Pre-Launch Waitlist

ScrollEclipse previously offered a pre-launch waitlist on scrolleclipse.com. The waitlist is no longer an active user-facing feature. However, historical waitlist records — such as email addresses, email verification status, campaign eligibility, and related timestamps — may still be retained in Supabase and remain subject to the retention and deletion policy described in this Privacy Policy.

Supabase Auth was used for email verification. Resend may have delivered verification emails, launch notifications, and promotional Premium codes. Historical email-delivery information associated with these communications may remain retained.

Data processed for referrals, promotional codes, and historical waitlist records is not used to collect or profile social-media activity.

5. Focus Lock and Schedules

Focus Lock information, such as the selected protections and the lock expiration time, is stored locally so that a commitment can continue after the app is closed or restarted.

While a Focus Lock is active, additional protections may be added. Once added, those protections remain committed until the existing Focus Lock ends.

Schedules are stored locally and use the device's local time and timezone to determine when selected protections should be active.

Neither Focus Lock nor Schedules require ScrollEclipse to upload your social-media content to a Veluno Labs server.

6. Advertising

ScrollEclipse may show advertising to users who are not currently entitled to Premium.

Advertising is provided through Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK.

Depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and Google's advertising configuration, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as:

  • device or advertising identifiers;
  • IP address;
  • approximate location derived from network information;
  • device and operating-system information;
  • ad impressions and interactions;
  • diagnostics and fraud-prevention information; and
  • consent and privacy choices.

Veluno Labs does not receive your full payment credentials or the private content of your social-media apps from AdMob.

Google's processing is governed by Google's own policies. For more information:

  • Google Privacy Policy
  • How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
  • Google advertising technologies

Consent management

ScrollEclipse uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) / consent-management tools where required.

For users in regions where consent or opt-out choices are required, the app may present a Google-powered privacy message before eligible ad requests are made. Your available choices depend on your location and applicable law.

Where a privacy-options entry is available in the app, you may use it to review or change eligible advertising privacy choices.

7. Rewarded Ads and Temporary Premium

Eligible Free users may choose to watch a rewarded ad.

A rewarded ad is shown only after the user affirmatively chooses to watch it. The reward is disclosed before the ad is shown.

When Google's rewarded-ad SDK confirms that the reward has been earned, ScrollEclipse grants 4 hours of temporary Premium access.

Current product rules are:

  • each successfully earned reward grants 4 hours of temporary Premium;
  • temporary Premium does not stack while an existing temporary Premium session is active;
  • a maximum of 4 successfully earned temporary-Premium grants may be available within a rolling 24-hour period;
  • failed, unavailable, skipped, or dismissed ads that do not produce Google's earned-reward callback do not grant Premium and do not consume a successful-reward slot; and
  • reward timestamps and temporary-Premium expiration are stored locally to enforce these rules.

During active temporary Premium, ScrollEclipse treats the user as Premium for product-feature access and suppresses ScrollEclipse ad requests that are not intended for Premium users.

Temporary Premium has no cash value and does not constitute a paid subscription.

8. Purchases and Premium Subscriptions

ScrollEclipse offers optional auto-renewing Premium subscriptions through Google Play Billing.

Payments are processed by Google Play using the payment method associated with the user's Google account.

Veluno Labs does not receive or store full credit-card numbers, bank-account credentials, or other full payment credentials.

To activate, maintain, verify, and restore Premium access, ScrollEclipse may process limited purchase information provided by Google Play, such as:

  • product or subscription identifier;
  • purchase status;
  • purchase time;
  • purchase token or transaction-related identifier;
  • subscription renewal/expiration state; and
  • Premium entitlement status.

This information is used only as needed to provide, verify, maintain, or restore purchased Premium access.

Subscription prices, billing periods, taxes, localized pricing, offers, and renewal terms are displayed through the app and/or Google Play before purchase.

Google Play processes subscription payments under its own terms and privacy practices.

9. Support and Problem Reports

If you contact ScrollEclipse support, we receive the information you choose to include in your email or support request.

If you choose Report a problem, ScrollEclipse may prepare a privacy-safe device/app summary to help troubleshoot the issue. The privacy-safe summary may include:

  • ScrollEclipse version;
  • Android version;
  • device manufacturer/model;
  • Accessibility Service status;
  • protection/setup state; and
  • non-content diagnostic information.

The report is intended not to include private messages, captions, usernames, passwords, typed text, photos, videos, or screenshots unless you independently and intentionally attach such information yourself.

Support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support records, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.

10. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect Through Our Own Backend

ScrollEclipse does not operate a cloud analytics system for storing users' social-media activity. The Android app does not require a general ScrollEclipse account for normal use. Limited backend services are used for referral-code creation and redemption, promotional-code validation and recovery, historical waitlist records where still retained, entitlement management, and abuse prevention.

ScrollEclipse does not intentionally collect through its backend:

  • your contacts;
  • precise GPS location;
  • microphone recordings;
  • camera recordings;
  • photo library;
  • private messages;
  • social-media passwords;
  • social-media account credentials; or
  • browsing/social-media content.

Third-party services such as Google AdMob and Google Play may separately process device, advertising, purchase, or transaction information as described in their own policies and in this Privacy Policy.

11. How We Use Information

Information processed by ScrollEclipse is used to:

  • create, validate, and manage referral codes and referral Premium entitlements;
  • recover referral or promotional Premium on the same supported device;
  • prevent duplicate, abusive, or fraudulent referral or promotional-code redemption;
  • validate and restore promotional Premium entitlements;
  • maintain historical pre-launch waitlist records where still retained;
  • deliver historical verification, launch, and promotional-code communications where applicable;
  • provide the protections you enable;
  • maintain Focus Lock commitments;
  • evaluate schedules;
  • calculate local Insights;
  • provide temporary or paid Premium access;
  • enforce rewarded-Premium eligibility rules;
  • serve and manage ads where eligible;
  • remember app preferences;
  • troubleshoot user-reported problems;
  • maintain app security and prevent abuse; and
  • comply with legal and platform obligations.

We do not use Accessibility Service information to build advertising profiles.

12. Legal Bases for Processing in the EEA, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions

Where applicable, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a service / contract: to provide the features you request, such as protections, Focus Lock, Schedules, Insights, and Premium access.
  • Consent: where required for personalized advertising, local storage, certain advertising technologies, or other processing that requires consent.
  • Legitimate interests: to maintain app security, prevent abuse, diagnose technical problems, and operate the service, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: where processing is required to comply with law, lawful requests, accounting obligations, consumer-protection requirements, or platform obligations.

Accessibility Service is enabled only after an in-app disclosure and the user's affirmative action in Android system settings.

13. Sharing of Information

Veluno Labs may share or allow processing of limited information only where necessary with:

Supabase

Supabase provides limited backend infrastructure including referral-code creation and redemption, referral entitlement management and recovery, promotional-code validation and recovery, historical waitlist and backend records where still retained, and security/abuse-prevention functions.

Resend

Resend was used to deliver transactional emails such as verification codes, launch notifications, and promotional Premium codes. Historical email-delivery information associated with these communications may remain retained.

Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads

For advertising, consent management, fraud prevention, measurement, and related advertising functions.

Google Play

For app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, entitlement management, refund/cancellation handling, and related Play services.

Email/support providers

If you contact support, your message is processed by the email/service provider used to deliver and receive the communication.

Legal and safety requirements

We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, a valid legal process, protect users, enforce rights, investigate fraud/abuse, or protect the security of ScrollEclipse.

Veluno Labs does not sell your private social-media content.

14. International Data Transfers

Third-party processors including Google, Supabase, and Resend where applicable, may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, the relevant service providers and, where applicable, Veluno Labs rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms and safeguards required by applicable data-protection law, such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Where Veluno Labs is required to implement safeguards for an international transfer under applicable law, we will do so.

15. Retention

Local ScrollEclipse data is generally retained on your device until:

  • you delete it using ScrollEclipse's Delete local data function;
  • the app automatically removes data that is no longer required for a feature;
  • you clear the app's storage through Android; or
  • you uninstall the app.

Backend records associated with referral-code creation, referral redemption, referral entitlements, promotional-code redemption, promo entitlements, historical waitlist signups where still retained, entitlement recovery, security records, and redemption attempts may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, restore active entitlements, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal or operational requirements.

Reward-history timestamps may be pruned once they are no longer required to evaluate the rolling reward window.

Third-party providers such as Google may retain advertising, consent, purchase, or transaction data under their own retention policies.

Device or cloud backup behavior controlled by Android, Google, or your device manufacturer may be subject to your system settings and those providers' policies.

16. Delete Local Data

ScrollEclipse provides a Delete local data function inside the Android app.

Delete local data clears applicable locally stored ScrollEclipse data on that device, including settings, Insights, schedules, Focus Lock state, onboarding state, and local temporary-Premium/reward state.

It does not necessarily delete server-side records, such as:

  • referral entitlements and redemption records;
  • promotional-code entitlements;
  • historical pre-launch waitlist records, if still retained; and
  • security and abuse-prevention records.

Clearing Android app storage or reinstalling the app also does not automatically delete these backend records. An active referral or promotional Premium entitlement may be recovered on the same supported device using the hashed device identifier.

Users may contact support@scrolleclipse.com to request deletion of eligible server-side personal data held directly by Veluno Labs. Deletion is subject to applicable legal and operational retention requirements, and certain security or abuse-prevention records may not be eligible for immediate deletion.

Deleting local app data does not delete information independently held by Google Play, Google AdMob, your email provider, or another third party. Purchases and subscription records held by Google Play are managed through Google Play.

17. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • access personal data;
  • request correction;
  • request deletion;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent;
  • request portability; and
  • complain to a competent data-protection authority.

Because most ScrollEclipse product data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise many practical controls directly by:

  • changing protection settings;
  • disabling Accessibility Service;
  • changing advertising privacy choices where available;
  • using Delete local data;
  • clearing app storage;
  • uninstalling ScrollEclipse; and
  • managing subscriptions through Google Play.

For privacy requests relating to information held directly by Veluno Labs, contact: support@scrolleclipse.com

If a request concerns data controlled independently by Google or another provider, you may also need to contact that provider directly.

18. California and Other US State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain US states may have rights concerning access, deletion, correction, portability, targeted advertising, or certain disclosures/sharing.

Veluno Labs does not sell your private social-media content for money.

Advertising partners may process advertising and device information for advertising purposes subject to applicable consent and opt-out choices.

Where required, eligible privacy choices may be provided through the in-app consent/privacy interface, device advertising settings, Google controls, or by contacting us.

19. Children

ScrollEclipse is not directed to children under 13.

Where local law requires parental authorization or sets a higher age threshold for consent to certain data processing, the app should be used only where the legally required permission or consent is available.

If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to Veluno Labs in a way that is inconsistent with applicable law, contact us at support@scrolleclipse.com.

20. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of ScrollEclipse and the information processed.

No application, device, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Keeping product data local reduces some categories of server-side exposure, but device security remains partly dependent on the security of your Android device and operating system.

21. Third-Party Apps

ScrollEclipse interacts with user-interface structures of supported third-party apps only to provide selected protections.

Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, Google, Meta, ByteDance, Snap, and other third parties are independent services with their own terms and privacy policies.

ScrollEclipse is not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party services.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when ScrollEclipse features, legal requirements, third-party SDKs, or data practices change.

If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where required.

The latest version will be available at: https://scrolleclipse.com/privacy/
